The IR/Thermal Camera Kit expands the capabilities of the IR Telescopic Camera Kit by adding a second camera - a thermal camera - which “sees” much more of the infrared region. Objects are differentiated by the heat they radiate, not by the light they reflect, making it possible to view in total darkness. The user can switch between the two camera functions according to their needs. Both images are optimized for infinity viewing. The highly mobile and versatile system incorporates a high-resolution monochrome camera with integrated powerful IR illumination and a thermal imaging camera to provide a real-time, infrared energy, “heat” signature video display.
